OpenStack/Kubernetes Support Engineer

San Ramon, CA
Amick Brown is seeking an OpenStack/Kubernetes Support Engineer who will support OpenStack on Kubernetes Cluster. You will work in a team of Support Engineers who manage multiple OpenStack environment on Kubernetes Cluster.

Location: Redmond, WA or San Ramon, CA, Austin or Plano TX
Duration: Multiple Years
 
Job Duties:
  • Manage and administer Kubernetes Cluster, Ceph storage cluster, and OpenStack on Kubernetes.
  • Resolve trouble tickets by analyzing and trouble-shooting the reported issues. 
  • Write maintenance scripts using Python or Shell to automate and maintain the platform.
  • Perform operational readiness test and complete validation of the platform after deployment.
Required Skills:
  • Strong experience in Linux administration and scripting.
  • Strong experience in Kubernetes Administration 
  • Experience in the OpenStack and OpenStack on Kubernetes platform and its associated modules.
  • Proficient in maintaining the Ceph storage cluster.
  • Strong experience with Cloud Technologies and Virtualization technologies and hypervisors like KVM.. 
  • Strong knowledge in TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, IP Addressing, IPMI, PXE booting, Disk Configuration, and Network Configuration.
  • Trouble-shooting experience in container network interface (CNI) with tools like Caligo.
 Additional Skills:
  • Experience in storage technologies such as SAN, NAS, File System (FS) and object storage such as swift.
  • Good understanding of Linux networking, SDN such as Contrail, VLAN etc.
  • Strong experience in troubleshooting network issues
  • Experience in analyzing the log stream in Elastic Search and Kibana
  • Certification in Cloud Administration and/or Kubernetes Administration.
Education: BS in Computer Science or related field.
