The Senior QA Engineer - Digital Marketing will be part of the team that owns, defines and delivers capabilities for our clients
You will collaborate with the digital marketing team to understand business goals, conduct manual testing, and build QA automation frameworks.
Your charter is to ensure quality and standards are met in all work product.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a QA Engineer working with leading brands and operating in a highly regulated environment.
This position will work closely with engineering, marketing, design, and content partners.
You know how to write detailed low-level test cases and test protocols as well as design long-term QA plans.
You are an engineer with strong ability to develop code in typical backend and frontend languages.
You have a passion to apply best practices, continually optimize QA processes, and maximize effectiveness and efficiency of testing methods and plans.
Roles and Responsibilities
Design and build detailed test architecture, plans, and test schedules
Build QA automation frameworks for web (backend and frontend) applications, integrated as part of a CI/CD process
Write detailed low-level test cases and test protocols
Provide feedback to Development on requirements and specifications
Work cross-functionally with other engineering teams, product managers, copywriters, designers and project management teams
Assure proper root cause analysis and drive timely issue resolution
Cross-browser compatibility testing
Bachelor’s degree in computer science with coursework in algorithms, information systems and basic programming concepts or 8+ years working experience in the field desired
Experience in test automation development, using frameworks, Jenkins/Gitlab runners and tools including web UI automation resources (Selenium RC/WebDriver frameworks)
Working knowledge of various testing types, from functional testing to performance and security testing in a highly regulated environment
Experience in bug management tools like JIRA or ALM
Working knowledge of full software development lifecycle, including CI/CD
Technical experience and strong command of industry trends and ability to apply those for desired outcomes
Experience with complex, multi-functional teams, able to work equally well with collaborators in creative, content, design, analytic, product, and technical roles.
Proven ability to forge trusted relationships within a diverse team
Experience working in Agile/Scrum models
Excellent documentation skills
Travel up to 10% of time
