OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) Consultant

Amick Brown is seeking an experienced OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) Consultant for a VIM upgrade project in the public sector.
Location: San Diego (Remote)
Duration: 1 year

  • Analyze the organization’s OpenText VIM products and select upgrade levels that are supported for the next 2-3 years, and compatible with each other.
  • Analyze the invoice ingestion process, making recommendations to make the upgrade easier and implement any necessary changes.
  • Implementing Information Extraction Service (or its comparable module as of VIM 7.6).
  • Executing the upgrade from a functional perspective in sandbox, development, quality, and production environments.
  • Mapping the list of cutover tasks and communicating any changes to project management
  • Assist Basis staff with installation issues and assist Development staff with SPAU/SPDD analysis.
  • Performing any manual post-installation steps.
  • Assist the Help Desk staff with building any necessary installation packages and testing on various machines.
  • Perform initial functional unit testing.
  • Resolving any defects from the upgrade.
  • Archive and Content Server upgrades\
  • Vendor Invoice Management Centralization Support
  • Make recommendations for further process improvement.
  • Assist with any necessary bug fixes.
  • Support with the Ariba CIG upgrade for VIM
Required Skills
  • Minimum 5 years of experience implementing/supporting Open Text Vendor Invoice Management (VIM)
  • Recent experience working in the latest VIM environments
  • Expert knowledge of VIM implementation best practices and configuration
  • Experience with at least two VIM upgrade projects
  • Experience in SAP system development lifecycle from understanding of requirements to proper design techniques, configuration, writing specifications, testing, and documentation as needed.
  • Work with business process coordinators to translate business requirements into efficient system design.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Must be able to properly communicate and document findings, proposals, solutions, and analyses as developed.
