Duration: 7 Months

Estimated pay range: $26.36 - $32.95 an hour per client contract and candidate skills, experience and work location
Description
  • The Clinical Development Engineering team at our client holds a unique position within product development by identifying clinical value through enabling the safe, effective, and reliable use of robotic platforms and their components.
  • With their passion for patient care, laboratory experience and proficiency with experimental methods, the Clinical Development Lab Technician (CDLT) works alongside Clinical Development Engineers for evaluating products for the Ion Endoluminal platform.
  • The CDLT is responsible for conducting laboratory experiments and collecting data in pre-clinical models (animal and cadaver) as well as ex-vivo models, and managing laboratory equipment and logistics.
  • The Clinical Development Engineering (CDE) team for our client Endoluminal Business Unit is growing, and with that, the number of Clinical Labs are increasing.
  • The CDE team is looking for a Clinical Development Lab Technician (CDLT) supporting this growing need by ensuring smooth operation of Clinical Labs.
  • This includes handling and preparation of clinical models, operation of medical imaging technology and organization of lab equipment and inventory
  • Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Executes laboratory experiments utilizing the Ion Endoluminal Platform and competitor products on pre-clinical models (animal and cadaver) and ex-vivo tissue models
  • Operates medical equipment including CT scanner, C-Arm, and Cone-Beam CT
  • Provides set-up including audio/visual system setup, Ion System Setup, and end of lab clean up support
  • Collects and documents data during laboratory experiments
  • Manages laboratory supplies and inventory, including tracking and receiving of tissue orders
  • Assembles, troubleshoots and maintains laboratory equipment including ex-vivo lung boxes
  • Keeps organization’s vision and values at the forefront of decision making and action
  • Communicates findings in a timely and organized manner to the engineering team

Required Skills
  • For adequately performing the responsibilities of this position, the individual must have:
  • Relevant Associate’s degree or High School diploma with relevant experience or Bachelors degree
  • Experience in the medical device industry and / or working with tissue models
  • Exposure to surgical terminology, anatomy, and surgical technique
  • Mechanical aptitude and intuition for spatial relations, proficiency with laboratory equipment and troubleshooting
  • Strong skills in experimental and scientific methods, and data collection
  • Excellent teamwork skills to insure timely project success
