Primary Function of Position
The Engineering Digital Group designs, builds, deploys and supports medical grade software, data infrastructure and applications to collect and analyze medical device machine data from thousands of systems deployed world-wide.
The ideal candidate for the position of SQA Associate will have experience in software development or quality assurance, networking and network security, product release of software applications and the ability to perform basic scripting in python or other coding language.
This position requires an individual with strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with highly technical peers, and the capability to manage workload among changing priorities.
Roles and Responsibilities
This position has responsibility and authority for:
Management of Digital SQA & Development Lab and test systems including:
Daily system tests and firmware updates
Troubleshooting system connectivity issues
Managing repairs with service technicians and escalation of issues to internal engineering groups as appropriate
Managing calendar / reservation system
Maintain lab rules and guidance
Support SQA team with onsite lab activities
Working with IT and Network Engineers to ensure proper networking and configuration of systems and networking devices
Assess programmatic ways to use software for automation of various system maintenance tasks
Work closely with automation engineers to automate system software updates, connectivity dashboards, system monitoring alerts, etc.
Assure proper root cause analysis and drive timely issue resolution of Product Issues
Development and delivery of Lab User Instructions and Knowledge base / FAQ’s/ Self Help
Conduct User Training/Education

In order to adequately perform the responsibilities of this position the individual must have:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related discipline desired
Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentation) skills, and advanced problem-solving orientation and decision-making skills.
Ability to troubleshoot basic networking issues
Understanding of software structures
Basic understanding of SQL data structures and the ability to perform basic SQL queries
Basic understanding and scripting skills w/ either python, Java or other coding language
Troubleshooting mind set, an ability to systematically and effectively break down a system or process into subparts to identify failure mechanisms
Ability to manage challenging assignments and multiple assignments in parallel.
Ability to work with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment.
Assertive, outgoing personality with an ability to work collaboratively within an engineering team.
Excellent documentation and communication skills, and attention to detail, and advanced problem-solving orientation and decision-making skills.
Possess excellent time management and prioritization skills.
