Senior Project Manager

Amick Brown is looking for a Senior Project Manager for Task Order Project Management in the defense sector

Job Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the project manager for a complex project and coordinate with the Program Manager and the government contracting office, government personnel, and customer agencies
  • Ensure technical solutions and schedules in the task order are implemented in a timely manner
  • Preparation of project plans, schedules, and estimates
  • Prepare transition plans and activities
  • Support the BI Center of excellence processes, scoping and requirements gathering, coordinate with technical staff
  • Business case analysis and risk analysis
  • Regular status/progress reports and program reviews at the task order level
  • Support the Portfolio Management tools in support of process documentation
 

Required Skills:
  • Must have Project Management Certification i.e. Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Industry experience of at least 5 years as a Project Manager and 5 years of leadership experience with progressively higher responsibility in the public and/or private sector in the IT and/or consulting field
  • Must possess IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC)
  • Experience in project management in the defense sector is a must
  • Project management experience with ERP systems like SAP
  • Expertise in software development lifecycle(SDLC) processes
  • Familiarity with DLA policies and standards
  • Experience in working with project management tools, benchmarking tools, work breakdown structures, and program reporting
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to interact with leadership
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Should be familiar with work intake and change control processes
