Patent Data Analyst

Amick Brown is seeking an experienced Patent Data Analyst for a Patent Management System implementation.
In this role you will be working on data conversion from legacy systems to IPfolio - Patent Management System.

Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of system analyst experience, ideally with techno functional expertise
  • Understanding of Patent Data and how it is structured is preferred
  • Experience with a Patent Management and/or Docket Management System is preferred
  • Familiarity with IPFolio software is a plus
  • Experience working with business users or as a business analyst with strong technology expertise
  • Advanced skills with MS tools such as Excel, Word, Access, and Visio is critical
  • Experience in data cleansing and data file preparation from structured and unstructured sources is a must.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science

Job responsibilities:
  • Identify patent data housed in multiple legacy systems including network drives, emails, SharePoint and a Legacy Patent Management System
  • Work with SMEs and the Project Manager to collect data from various databases and format the data as required
  • Streamline and map the data to the new application format
  • Participate in design sessions
  • Create functional and technical requirements
  • Testing, deployment, and cut-over
