Technical Project Manager

Amick Brown is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to manage Information Technology projects. The ideal candidate will have: 

Minimum Requirement:
  • Must hold a Project/Program Management certification (PMP) certification or other equivalent/recognized Project/Program Management certification)
  • 10 years of leadership experience with progressively higher responsibility in the public and/or private sector in the IT and/or consulting fields
  • Minimum five years of experience in the planning, design, development, enhancement, modification and support of small, medium and large projects.
  • Experience with the Information Technology Acquisition process and its milestones
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must have prior experience in management of EDI projects
  • Must be familiar with DoD logistics transaction formats, detailed knowledge of standards, manual, and business rules associated with processing DoD/Federal business documents. 
  • Must possess IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) at the time of proposal submission.

In this role, the candidate will have the following responsibilities:
  • Responsible for successful planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure of projects.
  • Provides overall management, training, direction and quality control to the technical members.
  • Coordinate resources that will provide analysis, design, evaluation, modification, testing and implementation of IT solutions.
  • Delivering all aspects of project management and will direct, monitor project activities and resources to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Leverage existing processes and methodologies. 
  • Skilled in managing teams of highly skilled IT technical SMEs and business representatives
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to work effectively with all levels of management in a culturally diverse company.
  • Excellent team player with strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proven track record in managing from medium to large technology projects
  • Experienced in MS applications including MS Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Superior project management skills
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Ability to balance attention to detail with a "bigger picture" perspective.
  • Ensures adherence to budgets, schedules, and work plans.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Provide/encourage effective communication between all team members.
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and tasks.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
