SAP ABAP Consultant

Amick Brown is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant for a large complex implementation in the public sector.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Requirements, design, configuration, development, test support and deployment support for fixes, enhancements and new projects
  • Support application development and maintenance support for business rules, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms and workflow objects.
  • Create all documentation as required by the SDLC
  • Enforce SAP and industry best practices
  • Help with audit, training and reporting requirements
 

Required Skills:
  • Experience of at least 8 years as a SAP developer with experience in designing and developing solutions in SAP using ABAP and object-oriented programming (OOP)
  • Experience with large complex full cycle SAP implementations
  • Experience in the public sector preferably the defense sector.
  • Must possess IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC)
  • Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
  • Experience with SDLC processes like ASAP and Agile
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving ability and strong sense of ownership
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to interact with leadership
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast paced environment
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
  • Overall technical knowledge with ability to review and provide feedback on support documents
  • Should be able to communicate findings, proposals, designs and analyses as required
  • Should be familiar with work intake and change control processes
